Session length may range from 45 to 55 minutes. Session frequency is up to your discretion, however, most clients find greater success with weekly or bi-weekly meetings. Appointments are individual, unless otherwise specified. Location for sessions may either be in-office or over video, using a confidential telehealth platform. You are responsible for co-payments or co-insurance at the time of session. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide 24 hour notice.

The process of therapy occurs in stages. The first appointment is considered a Therapy Intake Assessment, where we will review your presenting concerns and create treatment goals. My priority the first few sessions is to build a positive, safe, and comfortable therapeutic relationship. Healing takes time and often doesn’t follow a schedule. Therefore, the length of your treatment depends upon your efforts to reach your goals. Healing also is not linear. That means that we may feel worse before we notice improvement. This is largely due to bringing up old parts and their emotions and beliefs, before being able to let go of those old systems that no longer serve us. Throughout this process, you will be learning and practicing emotional regulation techniques, in order to give you the tools to navigate old systems and building new ones. Discharging from therapy will come when you meet your therapeutic goals and feel confident in confronting life’s challenges with the tools you’ve created.

I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, co-dependency, women's issues, LGBTQIA+, parental struggles, and ages 11+.
I am an EMDR Trained Level II Therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), is a type of intervention that can be integrated into your therapy goals. Often used in the treatment of trauma, EMDR assists you by replicating the Bilateral Stimulation (BLS) that occurs during REM sleep, to better assist you in consciously processing stuck emotions and beliefs.
Learn more about EMDR here: what is EMDR?I offer parent consultations to parents struggling with their child's explosive or testing behaviors, moods, and navigating trauma or life adjustments. I draw upon my trainings and background in play therapy; using theories from Adlerian and Synergetic, as well as parenting models such as The Whole Brain Child. I can assist parents in struggling with divorce and custody, however, in my scope of practice I am unable to provide legal advice and am unable to be part of any divorce/ custody court proceedings.
I utilize a holistic perspective, meaning that we will not only focus on treating the mind but the body as a whole. I offer mindfulness techniques and an individualized private yoga practice upon request.
Other interventions I incorporate are DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Ego States, as well as education on the nervous system and states of dysregulation.
